LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled defenseman Jeff Schultz from the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
Schultz played in 67 regular season games with the Monarchs this season, recording 13 points (2-11=13), 32 penalty minutes and a plus-10 rating. Schultz has also appeared in two playoff games with Manchester, recording zero points, two penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating.
The 6-foot-6, 225-pound native of Calgary, Alberta has played in 399 career NHL regular season games (all with Washington), recording 75 points (11-64=75) and 133 penalty minutes. In 29 career NHL postseason games, he has one assist and 14 penalty minutes.
