Hello all!  I am back with another edition of my blog!  It was a close one but I made it through the hot weather last week!  Helping me stay cool in the heat, aside from shedding some fur, was excitement on how much fun we will have at Summer Fan Fest this Saturday! It is literally the only thing I think about and have even started losing sleep with anticipation!

I put a lot of miles on my Zamboni last weekend and I am sure glad I did because I had a blast!  On Friday, I went to the Concord Market Day Public Skate.  It was an amazing time and I could not believe my eyes when I saw people skating on an outdoor artificial rink in the middle of July!  I am so thankful I got to be a part of it!

After I filled up the Zamboni in Concord, I went to cheer on the Monarchs Booster Club as they competed in the AHL Broomball Tournament at Conway Arena in Nashua.  The Monarchs Booster Club did not disappoint!  Not only were they great hosts for the rest of the league but they finished in third place for the tournament including a thrilling double overtime, 2-1, victory!!  I think their chances to win it all next year are very good!

On Sunday, I went to Sundae at David’s House, next to Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD).  I had a great time sharing ice cream and playing games with kids even though I did not win one game!  Maybe next time they will let their guest win a couple games!  In my best terminator voice impression, “I’ll be back!”

I pounced up and down for a good five minutes when I heard what former Monarchs will be at Summer Fan Fest this coming weekend.  Some of my long time buddies Derek Bekar, Doug Nolan and former Monarchs captain Richard Seeley will be hanging out with all of us this weekend as we will have some serious fun in the sun!

Has everyone been voting for their favorite VIP Cup logo design?  Just for voting for your favorite, you are automatically entered into a pool where one winner is selected each day for two free tickets to a VIP Cup game this season.  You can only vote once per day so make sure you do it everyday to maximize your chances of winning!  Click here for the link to vote for your favorite logo design!

If you need something to do on Thursday night, look no further than the TD Bank Summer Concert Series at Veterans Park in downtown Manchester.  This week’s concert begins at 7:00 p.m. and includes performances by the 39th Army Band and Alli Beaudry.  Grab some Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and watch or enter the hula hoop contest beginning at 6:45 p.m. rain or shine!

I can not wait to see you all this Saturday for Summer Fan Fest!  There is literally so much to see and do!  There is a street hockey tournament, inflatable bounce house and obstacle course, live music, the S.W.A.T. truck will be there as well as a Manchester fire truck and the Liquor Commission’s truck.  There is also a Monarchs Pro Shop blowout sale which will be the largest equipment sale in team history!  Seriously, it could be the best event this summer (besides the Los Angeles Kings winning the Stanley Cup in June).  Be there or be square!
