Happy belated Independence Day Monarchs Country!  Did everyone enjoy the holiday? I took in Manchester’s fireworks show as I do every year and it definitely did not disappoint!  I cannot get enough fireworks and the Fourth of July is the second best time to see fireworks.  Of course, the best time is at the Monarchs annual New Year’s Eve game which has the largest indoor fireworks display in New England!

There was also some great beach weather these last couple of weeks so I spent some time working on my tan.  Only problem was I refused to take my Monarchs jersey off so now I have massive tan lines!  Is it still considered a farmer’s tan if it is on a lion?!

The Kings celebrated Independence Day by signing defensemen Andrew Campbell and Andrew Bodnarchuk.  Between the recent signings and the Kings Development Camp, I am so ready for October!

Summer is in full swing and it seems like there are so many cool things to do in New Hampshire in the upcoming weeks!  For instance, NASCAR comes to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon this Saturday.  I love it when the Sprint Cup comes to New Hampshire because it is an all day event that is spent with friends and family as you tailgate and enjoy the weather with the company of thousands also watching the big race!  MY favorite part of the race is listening to the drivers talk to their pit crew.  I feel like I am in the car driving with them!  Well, almost.

Nothing says summer like live outdoor music.  The TD Summer Concert Series begins this and every Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.! Rain or shine, the concerts will feature great bands each week at Veterans Park in Manchester!  The Concert Series kicks off tonight with Vaud and the Villans and opening acts featuring Josh Logan and Paul Costley.  Get there early and enter the Hula Hoop contest at 6:45 p.m.!  I am going to need to practice a lot before entering that contest!

Another summer event to look forward to is the Monarchs Summer Fan Fest and the second annual Street Hockey Tournament.  It is only two weeks away and the slots for teams to register is filling up quickly so do not delay any longer if you have not registered your street hockey team yet!  Hopefully I will see all of you for a day of fun in the sun at the Jungle on Saturday, July 28 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Only 99 days until Opening Weekend at the Jungle!  Call my friends with the Monarchs to get tickets.  They are great at selecting seats near all your friends!  The Jungle will surely be rocking this season and you will not want to miss it!
