Kings Enter The 2012 NHL Draft With Seven Potential Selections

LOS ANGELES, CA – The Los Angeles Kings, 2012 Stanley Cup Champions and the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, are scheduled to make up to seven selections at the 2012 NHL Draft, held Friday and Saturday (June 22-23) at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The first round of the draft will take place on Friday, with NBC Sports Network providing live coverage of the event starting at 7:00 p.m. (EST). Rounds two through seven of the draft are scheduled for Saturday, starting at 10:00 a.m. (EST) with the NHL Network and NHL.com providing round-by-round coverage.
The following is a list of the Kings round-by-round selections in this year’s draft:

*The Columbus Blue Jackets have the option of using the Kings first-round selection in either the 2012 or 2013 NHL Draft. Columbus acquired that option along with defenseman Jack Johnson when the Kings acquired Jeff Carter from the Blue Jackets on February 23, 2012. Columbus does not need to make a decision until Friday during the draft.
