Matt Welch, a 2001 graduate of Ithaca College with a Bachelors degree in Sports Communications, joined the Monarchs as an Account Executive in July of 2001. He was promoted to the position of Corporate Account Executive in August of 2002. He served that role before being promoted to Director of Corporate Partnerships in September of 2005 followed by Vice President of Corporate Partnerships in August 2008. In March 2010, Welch was named the Vice President of Sales. In his new role, he oversees the entire Monarchs sales staff and is individually responsible for the sales and fulfillment of all sponsorship accounts along with the game-to-game sales of all Monarchs party suites.

A native of Manchester, Welch stays active in the community by serving on the boards of the Manchester Salvation Army Advisory Committee, and the Queen City Catholic Schools Athletic Hall of Fame Committee. Matt is also a coach of the Sweeney Post American Legion baseball program.

Matt resides in Manchester, New Hampshire.
